Become a vendor
If you cook and sell food in the United States, Canada, or Mexico, you can sell through Yumitos. This is what that means, and how to start.
Your page in the app
Every vendor on Yumitos has a page. It shows your menu and whether you are open right now, and people order from it inside the app. If you run a truck or a pop-up, the page shows your city rather than a fixed address, and it reads Offline rather than Closed when you are not out.
People find you the way they find everything on Yumitos: someone they follow posts about your food, puts you on a route, or picks you for an outing.
Your menu
You keep your menu yourself: items, categories, prices, what is available today, and the allergens in each dish. Change a price or take a dish off for the night and the app shows the change. Descriptions and allergen information come from you and are not checked by us. People with allergies read them before they order, so keep them accurate.
Orders
Orders arrive in the business portal. You accept each one, then mark it as being prepared, ready, and handed over or delivered, and the customer is told at every step. You choose which of pickup, delivery, and dining in you offer, and the customer picks one before ordering.
If you have to cancel an order, you say why and the customer is told. Prices, preparation, and food safety are yours. Refunds on food orders are worked out case by case between you, the customer, and our support team.
Getting paid
Customers pay by card inside the app. Stripe processes the payment and Yumitos is the merchant of record, so you never charge a customer yourself and never see their card. We then pay you what you earned: a transfer to your own Stripe account, or a bank transfer through Wise in the countries where we pay that way. You set up how you get paid in the Yumitos app.
Yumitos takes a fee on each order. The portal shows it on every order and on each week's statement, next to gross sales, refunds, adjustments, and the net that went to you, so there is nothing to work out afterwards. Earnings are recorded and transfers are sent in US dollars.
The business portal
The portal lives at business.yumitos.io and works in English and Spanish. It is where you manage your menu, work through orders, read your statements and payouts, and keep your business details. There is no separate account: you sign in with the same email, Google, Apple, or Facebook login you use in the Yumitos app.
Who this is for
Ordering through Yumitos is open in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Restaurants, food trucks, pop-ups, caterers, ghost kitchens, and markets all sell through the same page and the same portal. Elsewhere, including the rest of Latin America, Yumitos is for discovery, routes, outings, and the feed, and nothing is sold.
How to start
Write to partners@yumitos.com with your business name, where you are, and what you sell. We set vendors up one at a time, by hand, and it starts with that email.
