What Yumitos is today

Yumitos is an app for deciding where to eat with other people. What someone sees in it comes from the people they follow: their posts, their routes, the places they save. We do not serve third-party ads, and we do not share anyone's data for behavioral advertising.

So there is nothing to buy in the app right now: no placements, no sponsored posts, no promoted places. When that changes, our privacy policy changes first, and this page changes with it.

What we are building

Our terms already allow vendors and brands to buy advertising placements and boosts through Yumitos, and the business portal has a campaign builder in it. What is missing is the part of our system that would run those campaigns, so nothing can be launched or paid for yet.

There are two placements in the design: a card in the main feed, and a full-screen slot between bites. A campaign targets one country, one state or province, one city, or one neighborhood, in the United States, Canada, or Mexico, and it can send people to a vendor's page, a dish, a route, or a web address.

Prices and dates are not set, so we are not quoting any. One thing is already written into our terms and will stay there: a placement, once bought, is final, and it does not guarantee any level of attention or sales.

Brands and creators

By brands we mean consumer food and drink brands: packaged goods, drinks, the things sold on a shelf rather than cooked to order. If you cook and sell food, you are a vendor to us, and vendors have their own page.

We do not have a creator program with set terms yet. If you make food content and want to work with us, write and tell us what you make, where, and for whom.
